Playful Color Inspired

I have to admit a good dose of playful color always makes me smile... I day dream of having a shelf filled with the complete collection of Penguin classic re-release books designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith. How pretty would they look on a shelf? And they just released an Alice in Wonderland version, definitely the next one I am adding to my collection. These amazing Frye sneakers via design mom are so fun! Greenology Event

This past weekend the hubby and I went to the Greenology event at The Camp in Costa Mesa (the coolest shopping center EVER in my opinion). There were a ton of really great Eco-Conscious vendors, and amazing live music. It was a great event. One of my favorite vendors was Tyler Bender Book Co.. Tyler builds notebooks from vintage books and other salvaged materials. I love that they are all one of a kind and I adore the upcycling! Brilliant! Check out...READ MORE

Borrow this DIY idea…

Here are some of my favorite DIY ideas i have spotted around recently. Take a look, borrow, change them a bit to be your own, and voila! Handmade touches for your wedding day... These adorable picnic areas would make the cutest lounge area, forget the sleek white modern furniture, go for a more relaxed vibe with color coordinated pillows and blankets in the grass! Photo via Once Wed. Loving the vintage books piled up with the mason jar on top. What...READ MORE

The way Margaux describes each book makes them feel so special, like they are little creatures she is setting free in to the world. She...READ MORE

Book Art

My sweet husband bought me these vintage Alice in Wonderland + Through the Looking Glass books for the holidays last year. There is just something about old books that makes me so excited! The details on the spine, the typography, and oh those illustrations. There is nothing like it. I wish I had a huge room filled with old books like these to peruse and get inspired.  For all you Alice in Wonderland fans out there, the movie directed by Tim Burton...READ MORE
