5 Great Craft Party Ideas

1comments

I am a big fan of having some sort of activity or craft at a party. Here are a few of my favorite ideas. These can be used for bachelorette parties, showers, birthdays, or just because.

craftpartydiyideasnew

1. DIY Terrariums! | create a Terrarium bar, all set up with all the fixings. Give simple instructions and let the guests do the rest.

2. Flower Friendship bracelets | have guests dip dye their ribbons and adorn their wristlets with pretty flowers, real or faux.

3. Make your own Craft Brew | I have always wanted to try making my own beer, so what fun would it be to do it with a big group drinking all the while!

4. Sugar Scrub Bar | create a bar filled with the sugar scrub base and then different mix-ins to allow guests to customize their own sugar scrub.

5. DIY Herb Gardens | I love the idea of allowing guests to pick their seeds & plant tiny herb gardens.

DIY Beauty Bar Shower ideas

First off, I love the idea of making your own, all natural beauty products. Put that together with a spa themed shower and you have the perfect party don’t you think!? Here are a few inspirations I have picked up lately. Some great recipes for home made scrubs, bath salts, masques etc… Love the idea of having a DIY bath salt bar, and guests can blend their own creations! I might need to do this asap.

Behind the Scenes {DIY Tea Bar}

1comments

So excited to be bringing you a behind the scenes look at Emily’s Baby’s shower. One of the best parts of the day was the Loose Leaf Tea Bar. This was a bar overflowing with all different types of teas. Guests were invited to create their own custom tea blend in an adorable animal topped jar. The jars were sourced from Specialty Bottles (a great resource), and then painted & topped with toy animals. I found the tea in bulk from San Francisco Herb Co and they had great prices on the tea strainers in bulk as well. One thing I think guests really enjoyed were the signs next to each tea variety. Each tea was labeled with it’s flavor profile and drinking characteristics!

We used Emily’s mother’s vintage tea pots as vessels for the teas. This was so perfect and gorgeous, but if you don’t have access to these, simple large glass bowls would be pretty as well.

Now here is your list in order to create your own tea bar. This would be so darling for a bridal shower, birthday party, or ladies luncheon.

Heels and Gelato Bridal Shower

3comments

I have to say this was one of my favorite shoots to design for. And even more fun to see the results! We created an entire suite of paper delights to adorn this heels and gelato themed bridal shower! The team that I worked with included the amazingly talented Edyta Szyszlo Photography and the brilliant Enjoy Events Co. For a full list of the incredibly talented team see below.

I adore the paint dipped spoons and fabulous colorful touches! So clever!

The flowers and gorgeous outfits and accessories were just perfect!

Here is a peek at some of the fun paper elements we created for the shoot. We branded the event with a logo element and then made sure everything was cohesive but not too matchy matchy. The invitation folded out like a book.

I especially loved how all the gelato cartons looked together with the custom labels! So much fun. Thanks ladies for including us! xoxo For more fun details on the shoot check out the fabulous Ruffled blog!

Ice Cream Night Inspired

5comments

At my house we have this fun little tradition, “pick your pint” night. We go to the store and everyone picks their own pint of ice cream. Then we go home, put on a good movie, and eat right out of the carton. There is just something about this simple act of indulgence that puts a smile on my face every time. These unique flavors of ice cream below make me want to have a pick your pint night tonight actually!

I just think wouldn’t this make the perfect girls night or even unconventional bridal shower. Create an ice cream tasting bar. How fun would that be?! And so different. I hope this inspires you to eat right out of the carton tonight! xoxo

Round Up {coloring}

As a child one of my favorite activities was to color in those pattern coloring books. So it makes sense that I am completely smitten over this new coloring book inspired trend. Its so fun, adds a DIY element to really cool products, and is now inspiring my own work.

Starting off with these super chic coloring books. They certainly have come a long way since I was little, scribbling in my coloring book. From the top The Wonderful World of Fashion book is so fun and playful. Of course it doesn’t get any more chic than a Hermes coloring book right!? Wow! And these Rosie Flo coloring books are spot on. I would love to have a collection of these for myself!

color-in2

I love the idea of having color-in wallpaper. This frames wallpaper by Graham & Brown is so adorable. What a fun thing to put in Piper‘s room! Hmmmm…And this Jon Burgerman wallpaper sold by nineteenseventythree via therefore design is gorgeous!

color-in3

I love that this color-in trend is moving from paper to clothing! So fun. First up is this adorable child t-shirt set. What a fun gift for a child. Love it! And now for the trend to move couture, this color-in dress. Wow! What a clever idea. I would love to see this concept move to a table cloth perhaps at a bridal shower, that would then turn into a gift for the bride! Hope this inspires you to if nothing else, dig out those old coloring books! xoxo

Hot off the Press: Pretty in Pink

I am so excited to share some of our latest work!  First, this custom birth announcement we did for Circle the Date in Los Angeles is so sweet and beautiful for introducing this little girl to the world.  The second design was for The Village Invites in New York, which is such a whimsical, garden bridal shower invitation, Enchanted Garden from the Soiree album.  This invitation truly encompasses whimsy with a rhyming scheme at the beginning of the invitation, a total Alice in Wonderland feel!

Also, I love the use of multiple pinks in each of these designs, it really adds dimension to the look!
