Our office took a field trip to visit one of our amazing local retailers, Cotton Idea Studio, in their brand new space in Newport Beach. Mindy, the store’s owner, has such a great sense of style and her store definitely reflects that. Upon entering her portion of the shoppe you are engulfed in a sea of clean white, gorgeous paper goodies, and the subtlest hints of retro.
I heart that vintage typewriter!! How adorable is that. The jars of ribbon are also so great!
Cotton Idea Studio’s new office is a shared space with the brilliant Halsea. This was my first introduction to the company, and to Sally, the company’s owner. With a strong background in fashion (Roxy, Volcom, Paul Frank) its no wonder Sally started her own line of handbags, luggage and accessories. Her original patterns and textiles are inspired by the “relaxed elegance found in California’s beach communities”. Sally creates new prints and then launches different color ways to allow for mix and matching! Her items are made from laminated canvas which is super durable and perfect for travel! These would be the ultimate bridesmaid gifts filled with “day of” necessities!! Each is finished with the most adorable letterpress hang tag!
