With all these new speakeasy style bars popping up I thought what better idea for a bachelor or bachelorette party than a speakeasy! Now if you are lucky enough to live near one of these hotspots, then by all means take the party there! But if location or budget prevents it, I say why not DIY it!?
To begin our inspiration the top 3 photos via NY Times show some authentic speakeasy images from the prohibition era(1920-1933) that spawned the original speakeasy. This Carrie Underwood video captures the style for the female version of this party beautifully! It’s gorgeous! For the boys this photo via Jesi Haack from a brilliant Grumpy Old Men themed party is the perfect image in my mind for how you boys could dress. LOVE! Cigars and all! For the DIY-ers these vintage seltzer bottles on the bar set the mood. Don’t forget the vintage cocktail books and recipes like this unique Bacon Infused Old Fashioned.
