Craft Camp for grown ups!

I just thought I would share with you what is on my mind recently. I am trying to figure out how I can get to The Makerie next year. For those of you not familiar, it’s basically like my dream come true. A 2 day craft retreat where you choose your workshops, enjoy meals with your craft mates, complete with yoga and hiking! I mean seriously who wants to go with me? How can we make this happen!?

I love the way the Ali describes how The Makerie came to be. Here is an excerpt “…this journey began in pre-school where we were given endless opportunities to explore our creativity. Every child was an artist and I fell in love with making things by hand…The heart of the Makerie is to honor the creative spirit in all of us. When creativity becomes part of your life, you look at the world in new ways, you become more playful, and the possibilities seem endless. For me, I have always been a dreamer and hold the utmost admiration for people who follow their dreams…”

The workshops include food styling and food photography workshops by the brilliant Aran Goyoaga of Cannelle et Vanille, crochet magic taught by Jenny Doh, and shoot your product taught by Alessandra Cave. There are tons more workshops too…go check them out. Then come back and tell me, who’s going with me!?
