Celebrate with a Picnic

In my research for preparing a mother’s day picnic, I put together this inspiration board that could be used for Mother’s Day, a bridal shower, or any occasion really. I love the idea of celebrating with a picnic. There is something so magical about eating outdoors, in a secluded spot underneath a tree…day dreaming right now!

I just love the green centerpieces from this shoot featured on Style Me Pretty. The use of vintage mix and match glasses as vases, filled with an assortment of florals really makes these so attainable and charming. I love the quick pickles which I actually make quite a bit at home. These pickles could be such a great favor as well! And this sun tea recipe using Rooibos (my favorite caffeine free tea) would be so fun. This paper bird installation from Steven Beackly via design crush. is so whimsical, it makes me want to hang fun paper crafts from the trees.

Donna Hay is my favorite go to source for recipes and unique entertaining ideas. These prawn rolls look amazing and her idea of rubber stamping these napkins would be so adorable. Imagine using vintage napkins or hankies, stamped using fabric paint with each persons initial and then they can keep them as a favor! I absolutely LOVE these illustrations I discovered on Rock Paper Scissor. The birdcages could be such a great vibe for the invitations. I am always a fan of platters for picnics like this Mezze platter. And this idea of wrapping the bottles in gorgeous fabric is lovely.
