We spent christmas in Park City, Utah, and one of my favorite parts of the trip was our visit to the new High West Distillery. High West makes a brilliant whisky , now I am not a fan of whisky usually, but this one has the most amazing sweet taste and comes in a beautiful bottle!. They also make vodka which happens to be the only vodka in the world made from oats, requiring a more complex and expensive process, but resulting in a beautiful finish. They even make a peach vodka that includes 4 fresh Utah peaches in each bottle! High West recently opened the distillery for tours, eating, and events!
When we were visiting I couldn’t help but imagine how great this would be for a rehearsal dinner or wedding. The bar has multiple rooms including the one above, and it has this great vibe like you are in someone’s house.
The upstairs has these great rooms all covered with the most amazing artwork. One room was covered with these fabulous photos by David Levinthal featuring these tiny miniature western figures. There are also the most amazing collage/mixed media pieces with a western flair that I absolutely love. The mixed media pieces are by David Newman.
The downstairs dining room where they serve lunch is an old barn, and has these great high ceilings and a fabulous bar. The food was spectacular and they make great cocktails and fresh lemonade. It’s a definite must visit if you are in the Park City area, and the perfect place for a wedding if you are looking for something unique and charming.
