I came across this vintage cookbook during the move and I had to share. It was put out by the California Dairy Industry Advisory Board. The adorable illustrations are too great! I love the theme of the book, Outdoor Meals that Fit the Spot. Some of the sections include Cabin Cooking, Picnic Fare, and Luncheons and Suppers for Porch and Terrace Serving.
Some of the tips include “Butter rolls at home to save bother at the picnic…When peanut butter is too thick for easy spreading, mix with a spoonful or two of sweet cream.” How great is that!?
