When the images from a recent shoot we collaborated on, showed up in our inbox we were beyond in love. I mean the details on this shoot are unreal! From the custom made structures, to the gorgeous chandeliers, and don’t get me started on that veil!! We had so much fun creating the invitations for this shoot, taking inspirations from french chateau meets glamour by the beach. So beyond fun with wax seal details and hand dyed silk ribbons, our favorites!! Not to mention the custom mini cakes with calligraphed flags to double as place cards!! yes and yes! Check out all the details over on Love Luxe Life, and the full list of dream team vendors below.
We recently created the most stunning invitation suite for a couple getting married in Mexico. We used a deep inky indigo blue paired with softer navy watercolor textures and bright white cotton paper. I absolutely love this look. The deep blue lends itself to the ocean blue of Mexico, while the softer water color textures hint at the Mexico skies. It’s such a chic twist on a beachy vibe. Here are my inspirations for that couple along with a photo of the events card we created for them.
I am beyond thrilled that one of my favorite weddings of the year, if not all time, is featured on Reverie Gallery. Jeff and Bob were a dream to work with, and really gave us creative freedom to capture them as a couple, and infuse the tropical chic vibe of Little Palm Island into the paper goods. We started with a custom watercolor letterpress save the date. The blue watercolor hinted at the turquoise blue ocean, and the palm trees set the tone for the destination. Next we created a custom calligraphed monogram which we used as a wax seal. We sourced bamboo thatched paper to serve as a backer for the invitation itself and wrapped it in a Japanese rice paper to create a big reveal for the guests when opening the invitations. We used hand calligraphy rather than a font to add to the custom and unique feel of the suite.
For the dayof pieces, we really wanted guests to feel like the wedding was a true experience. Guests were greeted with custom tote bags, and personalized hang tags on each. One of my favorite details were the custom door hangers for guests to put outside their hotel room after a long night. We continued the feel of the invitation on the menus which had the same bamboo backer and custom wax seal. We even had each menu hand calligraphed so they doubled as place cards! Such a gorgeous event for a gorgeous couple! Please be sure to visit Reverie Gallery for more of the details there.
I have day dreams of throwing myself an epic Glamping birthday party. I have been putting together some inspirations for a bride recently and I have dubbed her my “Delicate Glam” bride. Here are some of my favorite inspirations for her…
I love this modern twist on the often tired “rustic” look. This modern twist infuses minimalistic details, with earthy colors and textures, to create a unique, clean look. I love love love this!
I just love this invite we recently custom designed for the fabulous Sugar Press. The letterpress and double thick paper create a classic look, while the envelope liners reflect the couple’s personality. Requesting a subtle nautical feel to hint at the couple’s love for sailing and for the Newport Harbor area, we created custom printed envelope liners showing a map of the area complete with a nautical inspired compass.
I am just loving the boho chic, ethereal quality of ferns used in weddings and events. It’s just the perfect use of greenery with a touch of fairy land you know!? Here are some ideas to inspire your next fern soirée.
The hubby whipped these strawberry jalapeno margaritas up the other day and they were so tasty I had to share. They would make the perfect signature cocktail at a wedding or party, or even just for fun on a Friday night. They are super easy to make and are sure to impress. They also make great mocktails if you are so inclined.
Recently I have been seeing a lot of muted tones, and subtle color palettes. Which I love. But sometimes you just need a pop of color. Here are some inspirations for that bride that wants to bring in a pop of color to her wedding.
