Real Wedding {Aimee + Gary}

We were overjoyed when we saw one of our fabulous brides featured over on Style Me Pretty. Aimee’s wedding really turned out so gorgeous, and its always fun to see the wedding of brides we spend so many months working with. Her gorgeous photos were taken by Jodie Chapman Photographer. We get a ton of requests from brides all over the world asking if we can work with international clients. Aimee is the perfect example, she lives in Singapore and her wedding was in Provence, France!

Everything from the location, to the gorgeous food, to Aimee’s fabulous dress by Amanda Wakeley…so chic and fabulous!

Above you can see a few of the items we created for Aimee. We did everything from save the dates, to letterpress invitations, menus, to programs to table names. It was so much fun working with Aimee. We custom designed every little detail to fit her personal wedding style! All the gorgeous photos above were taken by Jodie Chapman Photographer.

Here are some photos I took of Aimee’s invitations. Everything was hand letterpress printed on extra heavy cotton stocks. I love the itinerary and the rsvp postcard. Congratulations Aimee!!

Vintage books + Fairy Doors

Here are some things I am day dreaming about lately…

This adorable vintage childrens book I found on etsy; how adorable is this papaya and lemon painted house!? via desire to inspire;  and this may be my all time favorite setting for a wedding, the Hoffman House! I am absolutely in love with the homey vibe that it has, not to mention this absolutely stunning wedding I spotted on SMP shot by Anne Marie photography.

I adore this workspace I found on Rachel Whiting‘s site. It’s like an inspiration board turned workspace! So many pieces of inspiration waiting to be discovered; then there is this lovely photo shot by the very talented Sharnel Dollar of My Life  My Loves. It’s inspiration for a little girls birthday party! Can’t wait to see that party! And lastly I seriously still cannot get over these secret fairy doors. If this baby is a girl I can tell you right now this is a MUST HAVE! They are customizable and they each come with a tiny key and fairy dust! Ok so cute! The pink door photo is by Sharnel Dollar as well.

Dessert takes center stage…

Being a dessert lover, I absolutely embrace the evolution that has been happening to the dessert bar. At the forefront of this change is the lovely Amy Atlas of course. She seems to have revolutionized the dessert table concept and is now inspiring people all over the world to make their desserts a main event at their weddings or soirées. This is such a fun thing because it allows for whimsy, personality, color and above all fantastic desserts…a lot of them!

Above are a few of my favorites from Amy Atlas. The top three were created for Brides Magazine and shot by Andrew McCaul. The yellow and pink table was created for the Martha Stewart 15th Anniversary Party, photographed by Mel Barlow, photos via Style Me Pretty. I love Amy’s use of color and her ability to create such unique and memorable tables every time!

This absolutely stunning dessert table from Style Me Pretty was created by  Picture Perfect Events and Fleuretica as well as dessert concierge (how cool does that sound!) Popisme and Cakes by the Pound. The stunning photos were taken by Caroline Tran. I am so wanting those white chocolate malts right now!!

This dreamy pink table via Wildflower Linen is so elegant. I love the subtle pink tones. Finally this last table is so fun and unique! I just love the darks against the mint green, and that cake topper! Only could have been done by Jesi Haack Weddings and Sweet & Saucy Shop, shot by Matthew Morgan Photography. Hmmm….this post just made me hungry, think its time for some ice cream!

Wonderland Inspired Shoot

Yes I never tire of Alice in Wonderland inspiration. This shoot I spotted over on Style Me Pretty is definitely one of my favorites I have seen. I love the dark, Tim Burton inspired vibe this shoot has. Event Design, Planning & Styling was done by Kate Miller Events and these gorgeous photos were shot by  Sarah Maren Photography.

Those mushrooms in the flower arrangements and that broach and flower bouquet…SWOON!! I adore all the little details that went into this shoot. I truly think this is a new and unique take on the Alice in Wonderland theme which seems to be quite popular lately.

It doesn’t get much cute than that bunny too! This makes me want to have a little bunny! How adorable! And the desserts that were created for this shoot are breathtaking. Here is the full list of vendors that worked on this shoot: Event Design, Planning & Styling: Kate Miller Events / Photography: Sarah Maren Photography / Flowers: Flourish / Location: Roseville, CA / Rentals: Classic Party Rentals / Stationery: Luxecuts™ by Kate Miller Events / Dessert Table: Sugar and Spice Specialty Desserts / Model: Alison Kranz / Dress:Bella Donna Bridal Salon / Hair & Makeup: Nicole Solarez at Deja Du Salon / Assistant to Mrs. Whiskers (Rabbit): Hannah Moore

Real Wedding Inpsiration Board {Court + Adam}

I am currently working on some custom invitations for the most fabulous couple and a dear friend of mine. This is so much fun because this couple is so fun, free spirited, creative and just too cute for words! Courtney, the bride, has a background in wedding flowers, so being in the industry always makes it for a fun project. You will find below the beginnings of my inspiration collection I am putting together for their invitations.

Courtney, a southern California native met her Aussie fiance, and moved to Australia. So we definitely have some fun things to work with blending the two locales. The wedding will take place at one of my favorite southern California hotels, The Parker in Palm Springs. There are also a lot of fun icons and imagery we will be incorporating as they have sentimental value to the couple, including feathers, hibiscus and poppies. I just love these funky shoes with yellow feather details shot by Mike Larson, via Style Me Pretty. And this shot with these fabulous gold shoes atop the iconic love chair is fab, via Style Me Pretty. The ceremony is going to take a more classic, whites and neutral tone before getting crazy and colorful with the cocktail hour and reception. I just adore this shot by Aaron Delesie! These fabulous Parker shots of the most perfect guest bag and the groom in sneakers are so fun! And of course you can’t forget the perfect hair accessory by the amazing Twigs and Honey complete with feather details! Perfect!

More hair fun from Twigs and Honey. This octopus fabric might be making a guest appearance at the wedding…LOVE! This poppy cake creation by Let them Eat Cake is absolutely amazing, via Style Me Pretty. These paper flowers from etsy are the perfect detail. And lastly this colorful, fun, goofy, and completely gorgeous inspiration to reality shoot by Red Ribbon Studio is darling. The candy, the mustache, the colors, it’s all so totally Courtney! Can’t wait to get started on these invitations. Stay tuned for their save the dates, we are just finishing them up!

Yellow Happy Fun

Here is a little bit of what I am feeling lately. Loving the sunshine, the bright colors, the playfulness of these events, and the color yellow…

The top three photos are from one of my favorite parties I have seen lately, over at The Sweetest Occasion. It’s an owl themed first birthday party! How adorable!? Photos by Kallie Brynn Buckmaster. This yellow outdoor couch is from Garden House Decor.  I could pretty much take everything on this site!! LOVE!

The top three photos are from Hatch Creative Studio, taken at their Nest Event Loft, photos by Jenny Ebert. How I would LOVE to have an event here. I adore the touches of yellow amid the old photos and vintage radios. Lastly this “boozy lemonade” makes me smile! I love that wording. Photos by Jen Huang via Style Me Pretty.

Touches of Red

I am really loving the slight pops of color that are happening in weddings lately. I am especially fond of the touch of red. It just gives a nice pop of color and is so unexpected, and so the color of love.

From the top: those adorable shoes are so perfect!! photo via Snippet and Ink by Elisabeth Millay; this insanely gorgeous red tulle detail on this wedding dress is so amazing! can’t get enough of that, via 100 Layer Cake by Michelle King Photography; love these fab pattern bridesmaid dresses! via Style Me Pretty by Tanja Lippert Photography.

From the top: Hand letterpress red + black invitations via Wiley Valentine Couture; sparkly Louboutin’s? Yes please! via Green Wedding Shoes by Erin Hearts Court; red floral details via Style Me Pretty by Tanja Lippert Photography; and how can you not love those red cowboy boots!! via 100 layer cake.

Things I heart {chardonnay frosting…}

So here are a few things I just can’t stop thinking about this week…

These gorgeous wool bracelets from etsy that I spotted on the oh so fabulous Rock Paper Scissor blog. And I am sure you have seen this by now, but this AMAZING shoot that Jose Villa did with Enjoy Cupcakes over on the one and only SMP. From the styling, to the fabulous idea of a mobile cupcakery, to the recipe for Chardonnay frosting, I am seriously in heaven!!

Ok and these custom terrariums from Litill, made in hand blown glass containers are truly works of art. I am so in love with these! I would so love to have one of these on my desk! Officially on my wish list!
