Hello my friends! Sorry for my absence. My little bundle of joy arrived 6 days early, and it’s a girl! I couldn’t believe it as I was so sure I was having a boy the entire pregnancy. Piper is beyond excited to have a little sister. We named her Greyson Sam, and we are smitten. Here are a few shots from our newborn shoot with the amazing Andrea Patricia Photography.
As we prepare for our little arrival, I have received lots of different ideas from parents on how to introduce Piper to her little brother or sister, and how to make the process easy and fun for her. I think we are at an advantage in terms of Piper’s age (5 years). I think Piper is at a great age to welcome her little baby with open arms. Now that said, I am definitely expecting some bumps in the road, and would love to know your advice as mothers. What did you guys do to help ease the transition?

As my due date approaches (2 weeks from today!), I have find myself nesting, packing bags, and prepping the nursery. Here I thought I would share what is in my birth bag. Mamas and mamas to-be what did you guys pack?
Today’s inspiration to-go image is a sampling of crib bedding I am considering for the nursery. These swatches are from Restoration Hardware and they are so adorable I can’t even stand it!
Soooo…it’s finally time I let the cat out of the bag…I am expecting!! I am so beyond excited for our growing family and for Piper to become a big sister! After quite a journey it’s hard to believe we are finally here, or half way there to be exact. To answer your question, we don’t know what we are having and we are keeping it a surprise like we did with Piper. It was actually not that hard to wait with Piper, but with our second this seems to be quite a bit more challenging. Any of you wait to find out the sex? I have to admit I do love those gender reveal parties…but no, staying strong…we will just have to wait to find out.
I am over the moon for this new kids clothing line, Rylee + Cru, created by the very talented Kelli Murray. Inspired by her own children and her gorgeous whimsical illustrations, this line beyond adorable! Check it out here…
I thought I would share a few of my favorite finds today. First up is this adorable shop, Miniluu, spotted over on 100 Layer Cakelet. All items made from natural or recycled materials and everything is so fabulous.
Well this couldn’t make me any happier! The Honest Company products are now available at Target. Jumping up and down right now!!
I am a huge believer that not only what we put in our bodies but we put ON our bodies can make a huge impact on our health and the health of our children. It can be a bit overwhelming finding safe and effective bath and beauty products. Here are a few of my favorites.
1. It’s no secret I rely heavily on The Honest Company for a lot of our household & beauty products. We use their toothpaste and Piper uses their children’s toothpaste.
2. With Piper and I having the same curly, unruly hair, Shea Moisture is the best for our hair. Plus I know what all the ingredients are and most of them are organic! Bonus!
3. I just discovered this Everyone lotion and Everyone body soap. It comes in a huge bottle and we all love it.
Also I use the Skin Deep app and website a lot when researching different products. It’s a great resource! DIY natural also does a great job explaining some ingredients you want to avoid in your beauty products, here.
I cannot get enough of the amazing work that Sissy + Marley do. So when this new nursery landed in my inbox I could not wait to share it with you guys.
The warm grey and tangerine color palette, and jungle animal vibe is pure perfection. As usual, Sissy + Marley incorporates chic touches of whimsy, to make this nursery pure perfection! How adorable right!??
