Looking back…Piper's First birthday

As I prepare for Piper’s 2nd birthday in a few weeks, I thought I would take a look back at her first birthday. It’s crazy how much she has changed!

My crazy talented pastry chef friend Casey created the most ridiculously gorgeous dessert table for the party. Everything followed the pink and orange color scheme. Here is the letterpress invite that set the tone for the day.

Casey created a photo garland with a fun homemade look, representing each of Piper’s first 12 months. Guests had so much fun looking at these. The mini-whoopie pies were also a crowd favorite of the day!

I created a coloring station for the bigger kids. There were fun coloring sheets I designed that the kids really had fun with.

The food included mini grilled cheese sandwiches sitting atop homemade roasted tomato soup shots. We used some sweet momentos like some of Piper’s favorite toys as centerpieces along with the gorgeous flowers Emily’s mother, Wendy, designed for the day.

My favorite part of the day was when Piper devoured her cake. Casey made a sugarless carrot cake that was absolutely delicious and Piper certainly agreed. I cannot wait to share with you the results of her 2nd birthday, coming up in just a few short weeks! Stay tuned!
