When I came across Dutch designer Christien Meindertsma’s work, Flock, I was instantly smitten! She is taking knitting to an entirely different level. The first thing that strikes you as different is the size of her pieces. They are like jumbo knits, and the reason as you can see below, is because she has these custom jumbo sized knitting needles!
Another thing she is doing differently is actually meeting the sheep from which the wool is coming from!! Each item comes with a certificate stating the source of the wool, the animal breed, age, location and photo! How great is that.? Lastly I am loving is her poufs! I have a love for the moroccan version and her fun knitted spin on the traditional is entirely unexpected and brilliant!!
