I am in love with these succulent details I am seeing lately. The thing I love about succulents is that after the event you can take them home and replant them! Such a fabulous sustainable choice for your wedding don’t you think?

A Farmers Market Picnic…

Well this weekend was huge for me. It was the first Food to Love workshop and it was a huge hit! (photos and details to come). I also had the most amazing mother’s day! We shopped as a family at our local farmers market…then we spread a blanket out in our backyard and had the most delicious picnic.

Since we just moved to this area, this was our first time at this farmers market. It was so fabulous! Fresh eggs, homemade breads, goat cheese, peanuts, organic fruits and veggies…yum!

Piper really seemed to enjoy it as well…especially all the samples! This is one of the things I was encouraging moms to do at Food to Love…make eating fun by teaching the kids where the food comes from. Make it an exciting adventure to go to the farmers market together!

Piper enjoyed the carrots & the fresh apple sauce I made.

Her favorite though were the organic whole wheat rolls with the garlic and onion goat cheese! I felt so blessed sitting in the sunshine with my family, eating healthy, local, organic foods. Enjoying the day together. We had such a great time we decided to make this a Sunday tradition. Shop the farmers market and then have a picnic with our food treasures! Being a mom is one of the biggest challenges I have ever faced. But it is also the biggest gift I have ever been given. I am guaranteed to laugh every day because of my little Piper girl. I wish you all a wonderful Mother’s Day! To my mother and grandmother, Happy Mother’s day to the most wonderful women I know. xoxo

Big Announcement! …Food to Love

Ok well for those of you that follow me on twitter, you have heard me mention an exciting new project yet to be revealed. Well it’s time for the big reveal…I am hosting the very first Food to Love workshop next weekend with more to come. The class filled up so fast, and so many fabulous sponsors were so generous and supportive, I was slightly overwhelmed. Remember when I mentioned the idea casually in this post? Well it has become a reality! The idea is to educate, listen and learn from each other while gaining the knowledge needed to be able to feed your family good, healthy, fabulous food.
