Mom Monday {Ballet Class!}

Piper has been asking me non-stop lately (to my delight) if she can take a ballet class. At 2 1/2 she is just at the age where she can do so. We are doing a trial class this Saturday! I am beyond excited, and a little nervous. It will the first class she takes that is not Mommy-and-me. Parents are encouraged to stand outside and look in. I will keep you posted on how she does.

Does anyone else do ballet class with their little ones? I would love to hear about your experience!

  1. When my daughter was 3 she was very shy in pre-school. She asked me if she could take a dance class. Hoping it would help her to come out of her shell, I signed her up at a nearby studio. 13 years and many tuition payments later she is a magnificent dancer (and the shyness subsided, too). She was on a dance line for 7 years but now just does ballet at the studio twice a week (the dance lines are a huge time commitment for practice and competitions). She has danced in 7 musicals at school & summer theater. I was very happy with the studio teachers and I felt they had solid training and good ethics (not all studios are like the one on Dance Moms). So have fun and now you know what it can lead to!

  2. Thank you so much Monica for sharing your sweet story. This makes me even more excited to watch her come out of her shell.
