Mom Monday {potty training time!}

This past week has been quite a milestone for us, as Piper learns to use her potty. I had tried several times since she turned 2, but she simply was not interested. So I tried a new method this past week, that worked great for us. I am by no means an expert on this subject, but I thought I would share with you all what worked for us, since this was something I had been fearing. Once she got the hang of it, it was actually quite fun!

The reward method seemed to work great. We spent a few days at home, just in panties with her favorite characters on them (diapers still for naps and bedtime at this point). Each time Piper went on the potty we gave her one of these adorable tiny toys that she really loves. I got the “Potette” for when we are out and about. So far so good! What worked for you guys?

  1. Honestly mostly age, I had one son train before 2 because he wanted to go to preschool so very bad. two of mine were 2-3 and one of mine had a small bladder didn’t train till 4 and still had accidents. There is a saying that years ago the kids potty trained early because the Moms were trained. My new philosophy is that it is like swimming you sorta can’t rush it. My oldest I took for swim lessons for years and then around 5 she learned which is the age appropriate time. Good luck!
