Mom Monday {truth about our food}

This is a topic I am very passionate about. Being aware of what is in the food you and your families eat is so crucial. I have made the choice to make all of Piper’s food, and feed her only organic as much as possible. This can often times be a difficult lifestyle choice as you are faced with others that don’t understand the reasons for making these choices. But after I watched this amazing Ted talk that Robyn O’Brien gave, it really inspired me to share more with you guys and hopefully inspire a few more people to make similar choices. Please please please take a few minutes today and watch this video.

Here are a few facts I learned from the talk…

I love my mom monday community so dearly, and I am so excited to hear your thoughts, and hopefully your stories of how you will share this information with your loved ones. As Robyn says “Knowledge is power”, let’s all do our part to make a difference. xoxo darlings!

***UPDATE***

Robyn has so graciously added the graphics I created above to her blog and guest blog posts! What an honor!!! Check them out here and here.

  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this! I haven’t heard of Robyn before (so thanks for that introduction, as well) but her message is so important. This is a topic I am increasingly passionate about and the facts that she learned and shared are both shocking and not surprising all at the same time. Our food supply system and the governmental/corporate agencies behind its legislation and management are in serious need of overhaul.

    I won’t get on any soapbox here, but I applaud you for sharing this VERY important topic!

  2. thank you for posting this. i’m very very passionate about this topic. it’s so scary how much we don’t know about how our food is produced and where our food comes from. it feels a little hopeless, but i truly believe that as word gets out, things will change. they HAVE to change. our children and their children and grandchildren deserve more than this.

  3. Love this Rachelle! I have been learning more and more ways to eat better since I had kids. I watched Forks Over Knives recently and that has me even more concerned about what we put into our bodies.

    Thank you for your passion!

  4. Usually I don’t read article on blogs, but I would like to say that this write-up very compelled me to try and do it! Your writing style has been surprised me. Thanks, very nice article.
