Valentine’s Day…make it special!
My perfect valentine’s day does not involve a reservation at the hottest restaurant, or even a night out on the town. My husband and I usually spend valentines day at home. It doesn’t hurt that he is an amazing cook, so he usually cooks up something fabulous. But I get in on the cooking action too. One year, we each prepared 2 courses and revealed them with menus and all that night. Served with a bottle of wine we had picked up on a trip to Napa, it was pure perfection. Think about what you would truly enjoy as a couple, and make it happen. It doesn’t have to be fancy, but make it special!
I would love to hear what you guys are planning, or what you have done in the past! It’s always fun to hear. Another perfect idea I think…Breakfast in bed!

We usually spend it at home too, although we’ve never really celebrated it as I try and bring flowers home, bring breakfast in bed and send card throughout the year spontaneously. But this we have the added trouble of trying to explain Valentine’s to our twin girls who are now asking question about the day! I think it’s now going to be more about them than my wife
My husband and I have had a tradition for years: we each buy a new piece of sexy lingerie and cook dinner together in our new sexy duds (since we ‘ve had children, our romantic evening begins after the munchkins bedtime) we eat by candlelight and sip champagne. It’s fabulous and very romantic!
