With most of my brides being spring/summer brides, I am all of a sudden immersed in spring, outdoor thinking. I am loving the thought of all of these outdoor weddings and showers, and dreaming up new ideas. Here is a board of inspiration that is so perfect for all of you outdoor spring and summer brides. And even those of you planning a spring time outdoor fëte.

Shades of purple capture whimsy perfectly in my opinion. I can’t get enough of that top photo with the purple ice cream and matching cocktail ring!? I mean seriously how amazing? The top three purple photos are by Corrie Bond. I love the idea of setting up a place outdoors with pillows for lounging, cocktail hour perhaps? And this fairy land inspired dress with purple tulle peaking out by Betsy Johnson is so perfect! Loving this original idea of s’mores and champagne. I can’t help thinking how fun this would be for a shower or even a late night snack at a wedding!

I can’t help but be utterly inspired by the Liberty of London for Target ad campaign. The patterns fit this outdoor look so perfectly. Big colorful blooms. And the little girl watering the oversize mushroom garden! Sigh! The bottles of what looks like fresh lemonade above are actually something I am doing currently. I used an empty 360 organic vodka bottle, and filled it with fresh lemon/limeade we made from fruit that grows in Emily’s backyard! What a perfect way to entertain. Of course any fresh cocktail made with seasonal fruits is fabulous in my book!
