Big News…

I have some very big news to share with all of you today…I am expecting my first child!! I have been holding this in for some months now, and am delighted to share it with all of you! So lately as you may have guessed, it’s been baby baby baby on my mind. This past weekend I put together my inspiration board for the nursery and below are the results:

Serena and Lily’s Marlo collection was my starting point. I am absolutely in love with this linen, white and natural palette. And I adore how each of their collections comes complete with a name and personality description! Too cute! That crib is just what I am looking for, equal parts modern and classic. Ok seriously, this mod bassinet is design at its best. The deer head rug is the perfect rustic chic touch. What looks like a fabulous purse is actually the most stylish diaper bag I have ever seen! I am smitten with this glider, so sleek! This changing table changes into a bar once the kids have grown out of their diaper changing days…brilliant!

Ever since I saw this most amazing mobile I cannot get it out of mind. My hubby is planning to make a custom mobile with a similar vibe once the baby arrives (we are keeping it a surprise, girl? boy? we will have to wait and see). The Stella McCartney line for Gap Kids is to die for! And what isn’t good about Tiny Toms!? One for your tiny tot and one for a child in need…yes please! Mushroom chalkboard wall decals are absolutely perfect! As is this brilliant chalkboard top table/storage bin. And lastly the coolest high chair I have seen to date!

    CONGRATULATIONS!! You’ll be shocked what you start doing when you are expecting. I started sewing and did my son’s nursery. Now the original nursery was in our previous house in Virginia. But when we moved to Florida from VA in 2005, I took everything from his nursery that I could! He was only 10 months when we moved. Check out his nursery at my other site, http://www.bzen.biz, on the GALLERY page under INTERIORS. Although crowded because the original nursery was larger, you can get a sense of what an expectant mother can produce. Let me know what you think!
